What kind of concert can I expect from Temper City?
This event is listed as an alternative concert. The Independent's intimate setting, approximately 500-person capacity, and close-to-the-stage layout make it a fitting venue for experiencing alternative music in a personal, club-sized environment.
How much do Temper City tickets cost?
Prices currently start around $40, with listings potentially reaching approximately $150 or more depending on availability, demand, and seat or ticket options. Prices can change as the March 9, 2027, show approaches. Review the final price and any applicable fees before completing your purchase on ticketsoakland.org.
Is The Independent seated or standing room?
The Independent is generally an all-standing, general admission venue, with no reserved seating unless an event listing states otherwise. The stage is at floor level, and the room's compact layout offers close views and strong acoustics from much of the floor.
Where is the best place to stand at The Independent?
For a position near the stage, arrive early; popular shows can fill quickly. If you prefer a little more space, standing farther back may feel more comfortable. Because the venue is intimate, there is no single elevated or reserved section to select when purchasing general admission tickets.
Is there a ?worst? spot at The Independent?
There are no assigned seats, so your view depends on the crowd and where you stand. The room's small size generally provides close sight lines, but arriving later may mean standing farther from the stage or behind taller guests. Arrive early if your position in the room matters to you.
What are the parking options near The Independent?
Street parking on Divisadero Street and nearby blocks is limited on concert nights. Metered street parking in the area is generally free after 6 p.m.; always check posted signs for restrictions.
